Founded in 2013 in Istanbul, Poseidon Sailing was established with the mission of introducing individuals in Turkey—many of whom had never experienced sailing or maritime activities—to the world of sailing through a professional and innovative educational approach. With a strong commitment to excellence, Poseidon Sailing aims to demonstrate that sailing is a sport accessible to all age groups, from youth to adults, fostering both skill and a lifelong passion for the sea.

Aligned with this mission, Poseidon Sailing began its training programs at Kalamış Marina with a fleet of four modern sailing yachts, providing students with practical, hands-on experience in a safe and supportive environment. Each year, the organization seeks to expand its fleet, ensuring that it continues to offer state-of-the-art vessels for a wide range of training and recreational activities.

The name “Poseidon” was carefully chosen in reference to the Greek God of the sea and earthquakes, symbolizing both the power and ambition that the institution embodies. From its inception, Poseidon Sailing has aspired to become a leading maritime education center in Turkey, setting high standards in training quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
